ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jacqueline de Jong (Born 1939, Hengelo. Died 2024, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) was forced to flee Holland during World War II and her early life was marked by social upheaval. Her publishing, painting and sculptures have spanned over six decades, in which motifs of eroticism, desire, violence and humour recur with an irrepressible progression switching between different styles; from expressionist painting to new figuration and pop art and constantly reinventing herself while adhering to her pioneering personal vision.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Many art aficionado alumni have expressed interest in discovering and learning more about contemporary art, or even asking “How would I even begin to collect art?”.
This series is a response to these questions and more. Each visit features a guided tour led by an artist or curator at a Paris gallery.
Visits are free and exclusive to 10 dues-paying CAAF members per visit. It offers an intimate opportunity to engage with contemporary art and ask your pressing questions.
